Standing room only for AKT at IOSH 10

Standing room only for AKT at IOSH 10It was standing room only in the Networks theatre at IOSH 10, as visitors packed in to see performances by theatre-based training company AKT Productions. AKT performed its play 'Think Again' - a dramatisation originally commissioned by Balfour Beatty - on both days of the exhibition, before embarking on a Scottish your with a different play, 'Terminal', throughout May.

AKT Productions uses theatre to explore the behaviours that have contributed to workplace accidents, so audiences can learn from it and evaluate their own safety performance and culture.

Filming for Morgan Est

We have been busy this month filming a high impact DVD about site safety as part of Morgan Est's Worksafe Homesafe programme. Locations as diverse as the base of a 200 foot shaft, a new Cardiff wastewater treatment plant,  and a new taxiway at Heathrow airport have brought their own unique challenges.  AKT and Morgan Est have been rolling out a behavioural safety programme for safety leaders across all parts of its business.  This dramatic video will add to the tools and techniques Morgan Est use to ensure that all their staff are safe at home and at work.

Human Performance

AKT has been very busy delivering safety programmes in the Nuclear industry.  We have travelled from Dounreay to Dungeness, via Sizewell and Sellafield, working with decommissioning teams, and those people running the stations that provide 20% of Britain's electricity needs.  We are currently rolling out a Human Performance Workshop which addresses error traps and considers error prevention tools.
