Mental Health - Stress

Last week we were working with another pharmaceutical giant delivering an interactive workshop on workplace stress. The sessions focussed on identifying stress, and how to help colleagues avoid or overcome it.


According to the HSE, stress factors include:


CONTROL AND CHOICE over how we work;

DEMANDS, such as workload, work pattern and environment;

SUPPORT from the organisation, management and colleagues;

RELATIONSHIPS  – conflict or poor relationships add to stress;

ROLE – what the job entails, particularly where confusion exists;

CHANGE – how it is managed and communicated.
