AKT has delivered conferences, training and workshops throughout the world….
When working abroad, AKT take great care in using the correct people to deliver workshops and events that will deliver. We have utilised local actors in some of the countries we have been invited to, making sure that they have the ability and knowledge to convey the messages and lessons needed for each particular scenario. This also enables the business to roll out their workshop.
AKT was asked to help provide a powerful catalyst for cultural change for a major utilities company based in San Francisco following our showcase event in early 2016 at the International Atomic Energy Authority event to mark the 30th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster.
‘Deepwater’ is the story of why and how the Macondo well in the Gulf of Mexico failed in 2010 at the fatal cost of 11 lives and an unprecedented environmental disaster in the area.
AKT have engaged major hazards organisations with this programme over the past 5 years in their quest to improve the maturity and effectiveness of their safety culture, in nuclear, oil and gas, aviation, defence and many other fields of operation.
The senior management conference was designed around the AKT scenario to ensure maximum impact and learning for all 300 participants. The programme had special resonance for the organisation, following their own disaster at San Bruno in the same year as the events at Deepwater Horizon.
“Thank you for putting on a terrific learning event for our leadership. The results are in and the feedback for Deepwater was over the top. WE can’t thank you enough!!! It was without doubt the most impactful learning event we have ever had regarding safety culture and leadership. You and your actors brought the real world into our conference in an emotional and impactful way. I’m confident that our people will be better safety leaders because of your moving event!”
“I think yesterday was a big success. The team seemed really engaged. At the event afterwards, so many people came up to me and remarked at how impactful the day was… Thanks to you and your team for delivering a safety message in a way that I believe will have lasting impact.”
“I’ve heard very positive feedback consistently this morning from folks in the office. You and your team were fantastic to work with. I especially appreciate the time you committed to get to know as much as you could about PG&E. I think it really paid off.”

AKT were invited to Abu Dhabi to deliver our bespoke Nuclear security programme to the Gulf Nuclear Energy Infrastructure Institute (GNEII) – a strategic partnership with a long-term vision of developing a responsible and informed nuclear nonproliferation, energy safety, safeguards, and security culture in individuals who will be making decisions within Middle Eastern nuclear energy programs.
“The feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive. Everyone really enjoyed the exercise and an opportunity to find themselves in the “middle of an action”. Your workshop has truly become one of the jewels in our course and it is now hard to imagine it without you and your team…I am hoping to see you next year and many years ahead.”
