Marc has been with AKT since 2004. Initially joining as an actor, he soon added stage managing, writing, directing and facilitating to his CV, before joining the team full time in 2013 as Head of Production, then later as Artistic Director. When co-founder, Andy Powrie, retired in 2019, Marc was proud to take up the reins, becoming owner and Managing Director of AKT. Working with a fantastic team, he relishes the challenges which each new job brings, and knows that no matter what the next challenge might be, AKT will always deliver to the highest possible standard.

Kate graduated with a BA (hons) degree in Historical Studies from the University of Leicester. She started working with AKT in 2011 as a stage manager and joined the core team in 2018. Before life at AKT, Kate worked on a range of theatre productions and theatre-based learning and also spent some time in television filming and post production. Now that she is Head of Operations at AKT, Kate looks after casting and logistics for all AKT events. Employing her exceptional organisational skills she is the central hub of the office, ensuring all things happen as they should.

Rachel Nott

Rachel began working with AKT as an associate actor / facilitator in early 2015 facilitating and acting in a broad variety of programmes. In 2017, she was delighted to join the team permanently as a Senior Project Manager. Since then, she has been lucky enough to travel the UK and the world, working with global clients and delivering workshops throughout numerous industries. Prior to working at AKT, Rachel trained as an actress at the Poor School, and throughout her acting career took on several stage and television roles. Though she enjoys acting, she much prefers her current role, which affords her the privilege of meeting and working with a huge variety of people. From clients to delegates to actors, it means that no two days are ever the same. She loves her job.

David started working with AKT in 2008 as an associate actor, progressed to facilitating in 2015 and was invited to become a core member of the AKT family in June 2019. As a Senior Project Manager his responsibilities include liaising with clients, running workshops, writing scripts and, when the need arises, stepping back into an acting role. David is proud to be part of AKT and the dedicated team that runs such diverse, inspiring and thought provoking sessions.

Office Manager

Steph joined the AKT Team in August 2018. Steph had a vast amount of Customer Service and Event Management roles before settling in with the AKT family. Her job as Office Manager entails booking the casts’ hotels and organising travel arrangements, as well as being the first point of call for invoicing and ensuring all payments are made. She loves working in the office alongside a fun, energetic team and you can always rely on her to be a friendly face!

Jo joined AKT in 2018 as the Company Accountant. Jo grew up in Kent and moved to London to go to University at Brunel, where she graduated with a 2:1 BA (Hons) in Business Administration. Since then Jo has worked in London for over 24 years, as an accountant with experience working in small, medium and large businesses. Jo’s longest position was at PwC for 12 years working her way up to Senior Manager overseeing a direct team of 12 people in a team of 30. Jo also held accountant positions at a leading publisher of illustrated books and Lincoln's Inn. In Jo’s spare time she is a proud mother of twin boys and lives in South East London with her husband and her boys. Jo’s hobbies include binge watching TV series, voluntary work at her sons' school and doing Pilates.

Andy Powrie

Andy creates interactive, drama-based programmes for AKT.  Much of his work over the last 20 years has focused on the challenges of behavioural and process safety and security. He has created programmes as diverse as Security for the Nuclear Industry and Brand Stewardship for the advertising world. His work in Behavioural Safety has been adopted by clients in aviation, construction, nuclear, manufacturing, national and local government, oil & gas and utilities.

Audiences for his work range from Director General and CEO level, through management to operational and frontline staff. He creates pieces of theatre and film that accurately mirror the complexities of organisational cultures and immediately engage and challenge workshop participants, and his safety and security programmes have been run all over the world.

He studied Drama at Goldsmiths, London University, and Psychology at the Open University.  He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
